You should use animal fur because it keeps you warm.Another view:In recent years, more and more people have come to believe that animal fur should not be used. It is cruel, selfish and inhumane to kill and animal for the sole purpose of using its fur for fur coats, and even more cruel is the manner in which these poor animals are killed. If the animal is killed for food, such as beef, then using the hide for leather products is acceptable, except for vegans, who eat no animal products, nor use any products made from any parts of the animal.
they would have natives trade fur for things like guns and beer
The natives lived in all sorts of places. Such as the Northeast and the west-coast. this means that different kinds of animals lived in these places. Animal skins were most likely used on the west-coast because of the temperatures. In the Northeast, animal furs had a good chance of being used because of the cold winters and hot summers. Some furs like wolf fur isolates from the inside and outside, this makes furs valuable to the natives. Some furs they wore were probably rabbit fur because of the slickness and/or heavy furs like wolf or bear.
