I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and have had chronic pain for over 12 years....I have been to over 30 doctors in this area....NONE of them will prescribe it long term. It is awful and unfair to have to live with pain on a daily basis. I wish you luck in finding someone who will prescribe for you. Please let me know if you find someone! best of luck....

∙ 14y agoWe do not know where you are, so we suggest you check your Yellow Pages under "addiction" or search online for "addiction+detox+(your town)" without the ().
You should know, however, that drug detox is a complicated issue that is best supervised by experts, not just "a local doctor that will prescribe." Furthermore, outpatient detox from opiates is rarely successful in the long-term. We suggest you check in your area for a detox facility. Call your local mental health association for leads.
