It does not really matter what GCSE's you have, but you need Chemistry A level and two from either Biology, Physics and Maths to do a university Pharmacy course.
Hi, You need to take sciences at GCSE and aim to get the highest grades possible. Most people I know got all A*'s perhaps a few A's. Also need 3+ A's at A-level and alot of related work experience. Hope this helps.
Technically, you need at least 5 A-C grades to apply. But in reality, most of your applicants have 9-12 GCSEs, the vast majority with A*s and As. As an example, I earned 4 A*s and 5As at GCSE, 4As and a B at AS level and 3As at A2 to get my place. I also sat the UKCAT entrance exam, did 4 hours a week for 6 months of voluntary care work and redrafted my application statement 14 times. It was not fun!
Everyone says biology is a deffinate requirement. however, i am still at school, achieving A*s in maths, chemistry, biology and physics, (along with other subjects), and i have been told that chemistry and maths are more important than biology and physics if you wish to become a doctor. i am currently in the proccess of chosing my subjects to take onto sixth form. i am taking maths and chemistry for sure, and a compilation of biology, ICT, economics and business studies. hope i have helped in some way. i am currently going through the same problem as you and i know how difficult it is, so i wish you the best of luck :) YOU NEED ALL GCSEs As or A*s (hopefully) and A A A for A levels.
100 A*'s
You need to have all sciences (Biology, physics and chemistry) and it is obvious that you need to have A's and A*'s to become a peditrician

well i think so ,, well if you want a job u need to get good grades to get get into a job
You need at least a A grade in sciences especially chemistry and biology. you need a pass in maths or physics( at least an B),and preferably another language as this means that you can go to another country to study or finish your course, because there is alot competition for a place in medicine, especially in dentistry. Or you can get a high GCSE grades in either history or geography to put towards your aplication to learn the course. You need at least 3 A levels, 2 in science in chemistry and biology and another humanity subject eg english, geography, history or a language. Finially you need either a AAA, AAB, A*A*A*,A*A*A, A*AB. all of these are execptable although the highest is of course the best as this definatley ensures you a place in university. There is alot of universities that teach dentistry but it is a hard course to keep intact because you are expected to study for aleast 4 years. it is a hard course but very rewarding in the end.
