Most Inca's were commoners, who worked as farmers and herders. They practiced slavery, but had their own sense on how to do it. Most of the people belonged to commoners. Commoners would as farmers and herders.
The Maya adapted to their environment by building terraces for farming on hilly terrain and creating irrigation systems to manage water resources. The Inca utilized terrace farming techniques, built extensive road systems to navigate their mountainous terrain, and developed sophisticated agricultural methods such as freeze-drying crops at high altitudes. Both civilizations demonstrated ingenuity in their ability to thrive in challenging environments.
