They didn't contribute to any attacks by Native Americans. The Indian Wars were in the 1800's a hundred years AFTER the revolution and British control. The invasion of Americans moving west and the Indian Removal Act was the cause of tribes trying to protect their ancestral lands. Events like the Trail of Tears, the mass hanging of Dakota Sioux at Ft. Laramie in 1868, and the removal of tribes to reservations were enough to result in some conflicts.

Many Native tribes were forced to move from Georgia and other parts of the South to the area west of the Mississippi River designated as the Indian Territory as a result of Andrew Jackson's policies. Some of the tribes included the Cherokee, Muscogee, Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw, and this event is now known as the Trail of Tears for the vast fatalities suffered.

The trail of tear took place in the late 1800s when the Indians from all over the us who had live there the over 5000 years left all there belongings and walked thousands of mile to what is now Oklahoma many Indians sufferd and died.the trails of tears was a Trail/ Road were the Indians Got Forced to the other side of the river to be Watched and Help The whites get food and clothing ^-^b learned that in History. You learned very little. "The Trail of Tears" or "The trail where they cried" refers to the FORCED removal of Native people from the East to "Indian Territory" Now Oklahoma (Meaning "Land of the Redman"). It encompasses most ofthe 1830s & includes many tribes/nations not just the Cherokee. It was the "Solution" the Gov. used to the "Indian problem" in the South Eastern US. Better I suppose than the later genocide they perpetuated on the Western & Plains tribes. The various tribes/nations were "removed" by force & marched some 2,000 miles west. Many many died on the way. So the "Tears" were for the loss of their herriditary lands as well as the loved ones who died on the way. The very young & old were the first to die. Their past & future generations gone. Marched to a land they did not know & nothing to start over with. Many many more died once they got to Indian Territory. As many as 1/2 died on or after the "trail" forced removal.
