The Jewish Sabbath, called "Shabbat" begins at sundown on Friday night, and ends on Sundown Saturday night.
Depends on what your BAC was at the beginning of the 24 hour period, and that state of your liver.
You may be thinking of "Yom Kippur". This is a Jewish holiday also known as the Day of Atonement. Typically in observance Jewish people will fast and pray for a 24 hour period to atone for their sins.
Jews celebrate Shabbat, not Sabbat (which is a Wiccan holiday). Jewish people observe their Sabbath as a day of rest because it is written in scripture to do so: "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy" (Exodus 20:8; Deuteronomy 5:12). The reason for this commandment is that God wants His people to rest or cease from their normal work schedules.

In Judaism, based on Genesis ch.1 and Leviticus 23:32, all days including the Sabbath last from sunset to sunset. In actual practice, we begin our Shabbat a short time before sunset (on Friday) and end it after twilight on Saturday. This is done for several reasons and is a little longer than the actual Biblical day of Sabbath.
Exodus 20:6 "The SEVENTH Day IS the Sabbath of the Lord your God...."Luke 24:1 "Early on the FIRST day of the week Jesus arose from the tomb..."No debate needed.

Sabbath is a special day that God set apart right at the creation of the world. (See Genesis 2:2-3) God made it a holy day; a time to rest from the busy activities of the week, and to worship Him. God reinforced the importance of observing the Sabbath by making it one of the Ten Commandments. (See Exodus 20:8-10) The Jews and some Christians believe that God's holy law (the Ten Commandments) is unchangeable and it is still important to obey. (See Deuteronomy 11:26-28 and John 14:15) This is why they keep the Sabbath. Sabbath is a delightful time. Those who observe it according to Scripture do no business during those 24 hours. It is a weekly holiday. The time is used to learn more about God and grow closer to Him, and also to enjoy nature, friends and family.
