The following dates and/or varieties were never put into circulation:
1970 halves were only issued in proof and mint sets. Those coins were the last 40% silver halves and weren't put into circulation because they would have been melted for their metal value.
Special 40%-silver versions were struck for the Bicentennial
Clad halves dated 1987 and 2002-present were only in mint and proof sets due to an oversupply of earlier dates.
1971 Kennedy half dollars are face value only and are still in circulation.
No Kennedy DOLLARS exist only half dollars. Post new question with a date.
Kennedy is on the HALF dollar, not dollar. There were no U.S. silver dollars minted in the 1960s. The '64 Kennedy half is 90% silver and extremely common, currently worth about $10.50 for the silver.
No such coin. Kennedy is only on the half dollars. Starting In 1971, the dollar coins are Eisenhower dollars. The coin is just face value.
It's not Kennedy he is only on Half Dollars it's Roosevelt and the value is for the silver about $1.00
40 percent silver coins are Kennedy Half dollars minted from 1965 through 1969. 1964 half dollars were 90% silver and coins dated 1971 and after have no silver. The 1970 half dollar was available only in mint sets
Any U.S. half dollars dated 1971 and found in circulation are only worth 50 cents.
If anyone finds a Kennedy DOLLAR it would be rare indeed because JFK only appears on the HALF dollar.
The coins are half dollars rather than dollars. Kennedy halves from 1965-70 are worth about $5, and anything 1971-present is only worth face value.
Kennedy half dollars (50 cent pieces) have only been minted since 1964. And in any case, JFK was only 5 years old in 1922 and on top of that the U.S. didn't mint ANY half dollars in 1922.
1964 is a very common year for Kennedy silver half dollars. Even uncirculated coins are valued only for the silver they contain, about $8.00 as of today.
Kennedy Half dollars are very common, coins from 1971 to date contain no silver and are only face value.
