County Hospital, made in 1932.
I remember some years ago a film about Laurel and Hardy. It wasn't a documentary, it had two actors playing the parts of L&H on and off screen. It was brilliant. I think it was made for TV and was shown here in the UK. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact title!
A Laurel Wreath is made from "bay laurel" leaves and branches, "cherry laurel" or "spineless butchers broom" The chosen laurel leaves and branches are woven into a head piece to make the traditional Laurel Wreath.

AnswerYou dont its impossiable. Update January 14, 2010:Actually you can, and we did. We used to do it a LOT, but ever since oil became cheap, we haven't (oddly enough) returned to the practice. Here's a link to, and a description of a Laurel and Hardy short in which the uses of wood plastic were promoted (probably to help curb the use of metal for rationing):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_pQpm8Jt70The Tree in a Test TubeProduced in 1941 by U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Forest Service - 1 reel - COLORDirector: Charles MacDonaldCast: Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Pete Smith, Lee VickersA short public service film about the many uses of plastic. A week before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Laurel and Hardy shot their brief, wordless bit on the Fox lot. The narration for their scene was provided by Pete Smith, who was then producing and narrating very funny short subjects for MGM Only interesting because, as long as The Rogue Song remains lost, it's the only extant film The Boys made in color.
a famous comedy team of the thirties and forties- some service comedies made during the war, also like ( Air Raid Wardens) got any bomb scare jokes? This is NOT a Test pattern? so it goes.
