Because god created every one in a unique way and that everybody is special
in a kind of way and the fingerprint are just there to represent that saying.
It also makes it easier for the police and investigatiors to solve a crime since everybody have diffrent fingerprints :)
DNA evidence and its collection and processing are ENTIRELY DIFFERENT and un-related to the collection and processing of latent fingerprint evidence. What, specifically, are you trying to learn?
DNA is referred to as your genetic fingerprint, because of the fact that is unique to you and no other person; just like a fingerprint. DNA possess' the information that determines an organism's characteristics, such as ones hair color, eye color, skin type, and even if you have long, stubby, fat or thin nails. This information is transmitted from generation to generation, determining almost every cells function and purpose. Due to the fact that DNA is transmitted from generation to generation, not one organism has the same DNA; although possible to be similar - siblings are a perfect example of this but not even identical twins have the same DNA makeup although very similar- not one organism has the same DNA.
People need DNA fingerprinting so that they can manke many decisions. Whether they are gentically given birth from the right parents.
it is based on the non-codind DNA
Everyone has their own unique DNA fingerprint. DNA is mixed with some kind of chemical (I'm afraid I don't know the specifics) which creates a unique image that slightly resembles a barcode.
DNA fingerprinting
0.1% of are DNA makes us unique.
A DNA fingerprint could appear in a few different ways depending on it's use. Sometimes a DNA fingerprint just appears as a series of lines on a square board.
Their unique SEQUENCE of nucleotide BASES accomplishes this Functional Property in Dna strands.
A DNA fingerprint refers to the fact that a person's DNA code is as unique to that person as his/her fingerprint. A person can be implicated for a crime or ruled out as the criminal based on his/her DNA code.

Because everyone has a unique fingerprint. Even identical twins.
Just as effective if not more so due to the fact that everyone's DNA is unique and the only match is your own.
DNA fingerprint
Selected fragments are used to produce a DNA fingerprint.
If you are referring to the lines on a persons fingers, they are not inherited. Every individual has a unique fingerprint. This is why looking for fingerprints at a crime scene still remains a indispensable technique despite all the high tech gadgets available. If you are referring to a DNA fingerprint, they are inherited from the parents of the individual being tested. If DNA is found at a crime scene, it can be compared to the DNA of all the suspects and a match can be found. Every individual has a unique DNA fingerprint (unless they are identical twins).
