Most commonly, we use muslin, cotton sheeting, or other cotton. Many people prefer flannel and now the latest craze is the microfiber fleece.

I usually do embroidery across the top of mine, but a contrasting fabric or color trim would b nice. The edges should be hemmed using a sturdy cotton thread.
