i just purchased one and filled it all the way up and have went 140 miles so far on the gas in the reg tank and still haven't had to switch to reserve. i think there is less than 2 gallons in the reg tank so i guess I'm at least averaging 70 mpg. this has all been with alot of stop and go driving. i love this bike so far.
I had a 2007 Star Virago 250, the only difference is they changed the name of the 250 from Virago to V-Star finally, other than name though, it is the same bike. I averaged anywhere between 65-74 miles per gallon! Hope this helps! Also, in the reg tank there is just over 2 gallons, you get about .4 gallons on the reserve.
