The industry standard is Pro-Tools. However, I prefer Logic. Pro-tools is great for recording and editing but not as powerful when it comes to composition (in my opinion).
Often people use Reason with one of these two programs. Reason adapted acts as a plug-in and ships as part of newer releases of Pro-Tools.
actually garageband comes with iwork that has all the iphoto and all those stuff.
The 2011 iMac comes preloaded with the iLife software bundle, which includes GarageBand.
Garageband.
No, there is no Garageband app for the iPod Touch. Garageband can only be accessed if you have a Mac computer that either has iLife pre-installed on it, or if you have a Mac and buy an iLife disc to install Garageband. It is a software, not an app.
Not yet.
The best audio production software for beginners is probably GarageBand. It is available of the Macintosh operating system by Apple. It is not available on Windows machines.
Magic GarageBand is part of Apple's GarageBand software. Within Magic GarageBand you can choose a musical style, Jazz, Rock, Blues etc., and a band is set up for you to improvise with. You can change your own or the accompanying instruments and import the preferred configuration into GarageBand itself for recording and editing. (See links below)
Apple purchased the eMagic company who made the Logic audio software in 2002. As well as developing the Logic software Apple also produced a simplified consumer product called Garageband which they released in 2004.
Garageband really :/ thats the best i know
Garageband usually is included with every Macintosh Computer. You might want to try - downloads.com - App Store (probably charge you)
GarageBand comes free with every Mac. To update to newer versions you need to purchase the latest iLife software which includes GarageBand.
Finale is for arrangement of musical notation and sheet music. It only has XG MIDI instruments (about 120 sounds) which sound very crude and cheesy. Obviously since the software is designed for just notation it would make no sense for high end sound. GarageBand is mainly for recording audio and MIDI, editing, sequencing (using midi), processing effects, and a lot more stuff. GarageBand comes with a large library of pre-recorded samples, virtual instruments, synths, and effects. It uses looping features to repeat musical phrases throughout a song. Basically, in a nutshell, Finale is for notation... GarageBand is for audio production. Of course you can do notation in GarageBand and some production in Finale, but mainly that's not their design.
