The island at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand is Stewart Island. It is the third-largest island in New Zealand and is known for its rugged landscapes and diverse wildlife, including the famous kiwi bird.
Kākā birds, or New Zealand Kaka, as the name suggests, originate from New Zealand. Kākās live in the lowland and mid-altitude native forests of New Zealand. They also have specially protected reserves, Kapiti Island, Codfish Island and Little Barrier Island.
