The 'Rapture' is a theological invention of John Nelson Darby, the nineteenth-century founder of the Plymouth Brethren. Although few people belong the the Plymouth Brethren Church, many Christians, particularly in the United States, believe in its founder's most enduring theological creation, the Rapture.
One of the reasosns for popularising Darby's system was the Scofield Reference Bible, a best-selling work published in 1909. It has been called "perhaps the most important single document in all fundamentalist literature." With sales in the millions, it became the version of The Bible through which Americans read their scriptures throughout much of the twentieth century. Scofield's notes and headings were woven in with the biblical text itself, elevating Darby's theology to a level of biblical authority that no previous writing had.
Mainstream Christian denominations such as the Catholic Church, Anglican Communion (which include the Episcopal Church), Presbytarian Church, Lutheran Church, Churches of Christ and others, reject Darby's scheme as "false theology." This theology has relatively little support outside the United States.

No, Jews do not believe in the rapture. They do not believe Jesus was the Messiah, therefore, they do not believe the New Testament is accurate or part of God's word. The concept of the rapture was created by Christianity and does not exist anywhere in Jewish teachings.

The Protestant denominations are Christians churches that have separated from the Catholic church in protest over theological interpretations or polices of the Catholic church that they believe to be incorrect. All Protestants are Christian, but not all Christians are Protestant.
Of course it does. The Protestant church consists of many denominations of the Christian church that are all orthodox in their beliefs. As forgiveness after repentance is an important aspect of Christian teaching, forgiveness is not only believed in the Protestant church but is a necessary part of Christian life.
