• the Pacific temperate rain forests - which stretch from Kodiak Island in Alaska, through western Canada, through Washington, and Oregon and down into Northern California.
• the Appalachian temperate rain forests - which are in the southern portion of the Appalachian Mountains along the eastern Tennessee/western North Carolina border and extending into northern Georgia.

Overall that means that a person could visit Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Tennessee, North Carolina, or Georgia to see a temperate rain forest.
