What is normal balance of a revenue account?

Not entirely sure what your question is specifically asking, so I'll just answer it as I first read it. A revenue account has a credit nature, so a "normal" or "positive" or healthy balance is for it to be in the credit (cr) figures. Hopefully this helps :)

When does an account become uncollectible?

"Bad debt expense, or noncollectable accounts expense, or doubtful accounts expense. When does an account or a note become noncollectable? There is no general rule for determining when an account is noncollectable. once a receivable is past due, a company should first notify the customer and try to collect the account. if after repeated attempts the customer doesn't pay, the company may turn the account over to a collection agency. After the collection agency attempts collection, any remaining balance in the account is considered worthless." -Principals of Accounting book, page 394-

Is Rent payable is recorded in accounting year?

First let me say there is no account referred to as "Rent Payable". Rent is an operating expense for a business, you have two main accounts that deal with rent. 1 is Prepaid Rent, the other is Rent Expense. Prepaid Rent is used if the company pays their rent in advance. Prepaid Rent is an Asset. For example a company pays 6 months rent in advance, the journal entry isPrepaid Rent (debit) $$$Cash (credit) $$$Each month as the rent is "used up" an adjusting entry must be made. Since the cash has already been paid the entries move the amount needed of that month from one account to another. In this case we want to move it from the asset account Prepaid Rent to the Expense account Rent Expense the entry is;Rent Expense (debit) $$$Prepaid Rent (credit) $$$As you notice since prepaid rent is an asset account it has a debit balance, therefore to "remove" the amount of rent used we must credit that amount. If the company pays their rent monthly on a cash basis the journal entry is simple and straight forward.Rent Expense (debit) $$$Cash (credit) $$$You will not see an account called "Rent Payable" as a payable account is a liability account and expense are not classified as a liability but an operating expense.

Difference between sub-ledger and general ledger?

SUB LEDGER (Depatmental Operating Accounts)An account in the Sub Ledger has a non-zero first digit (eg. 3-3XXXX) and reflects all budget, revenue, expense and encumbrance activity for the current year. Except for a very few cases, all requisitions should be prepared using Sub Ledger accounts.GENERAL LEDGERAn account in the General Ledger has zero as its first digit (eg. 0-3XXXX) and reflects the cumulative status to date of the account. The most important information on the General Ledger account statement is the fund balance account control (3X00, where X represents the second digit of the account number). This amount is the cumulative account balance. If the amount is a credit (negative figure) there is a surplus in the account. If the amount is a debit (positive figure) there is a deficit in the account.
