Technically speaking grease would neither an acid or a base due to its polar and non-polar similarity, however the internet can say it's a base or an acid or even both, but the true percentage is a grease leans towards a base around with 75% which leaves room for an acid concoction but however in my opinion I believe this is neither an acid nor a base. (Stated this is my opinion known as a hypotenuse)

A traditional (lubricating) grease is a mixture of oil, either mineral, vegetable or synthetically based combined with a thickener, usually a soap. The oil is neither acidic or basic which just leaves whilst the thickener is made by reacting a fatty acid (e.g. stearic acid) with a base such as lithium hydroxide, this forms a neutral soap, so grease should be neutral. However, in order to get the best properties, the grease usually uses a slight excess of base leaving it slightly alkali.

If you mean grease such as solidified frying oil, then this is neutral when fresh, bu after it's been used, it reacts which oxygen in the air to make acidic oxidation products, so is slightly acidic.
