Knights often worked for lords of castles, but sometimes they had their own castles. A knight would go out to bloody wars where if he was not killed, probably one of his comrades was. They earned about two shillings a day. Some knights had their own mini-armies called mercenaries, and lords could pay them to fight for the lord.
Knights in Medieval Europe engaged in activities such as participating in battles and tournaments, training in combat skills like sword fighting and jousting, protecting their lord's land and people, and upholding the code of chivalry. They also attended court events, went on quests, and honed their skills in horsemanship and falconry.
They have tournaments. Tournaments are basically games. they used to do this with their friends they had a great time practicing. Although, sometimes, it was not all good times and good fun, some of knights got truly hurt. But that was not the only use for tournaments. As you know, we all have a they had a strong belief in God. When two people want to settle a disagreement and see who is correct they arrange a tournament. This is because they believe that God will choose who is right.
Castles and knights were prominent during the Medieval period in Europe. This period ranged from the 5th to 15th century and ended around the time when gunpowder became widely used on the battlefield.
