There are multiple means for which a physician assistant (PA) can follow in becoming a doctor of medicine or osteopathy (MD or DO). Some programs offer what is called as an PA-MD bridge program. However, the need to prepare and sit for the MCAT exam may still remain for American medical and osteopathic schools. A PA could try an overseas or Caribbean medical school that does not have the MCAT requirement. Regardless of the MCAT the PA must graduate from a medical or osteopathic school and complete the USMLE exam sequence to qualify for board certification.
You are gong to need to get your medical degree from a medical school. You will also have to complete your residency.
Anyone can apply to a medical school and become a doctor. The real question is whether or not being a PA will lead to a shorter time at medical school and the answer to that is, NO!
You'd get an undergraduate degree, go to medical school, then get a physician's assistant license, do an internship, and get your medical license.

Try getting a doctor to help you. Get a well known doctor, or a doctor that you know personally. Maybe a relative's friend or something, and get him or her to help you.

Yes, but you would need to have all pre-req's and good MCAT scores to get into medical school. Im not sure if it is smart to become a physician assistant rather than going all the way and become a doctor. Its something Im debating on too. Not sure what to do either.
