The Haitian Revolution became the first successful slave revolt in America. Based on the antagonistic relationship towards France from both Britain and Spain, they lent their support to the war as well. However, once the war was over and freedom was won, Haiti was hit by harsh reparations from France, and no major country lent its support, leaving the country economically devastated.
The American Revolution inspired many other revolutions such as the Haitian Revolution and the French Revolution. The American Revolution showed that Revolutions could be started and ended with a good outcome. So the Haitians, Latins, French, and a bunch of other countries revolted.
