Here are just a few quotes from the book. There are many, but these are some of them.
1. "Stay Alive."
2. "Water is your new best friend."
3. He basically wants them to play along with the star-crossed lovers thing, because of the fact that audiences love that kind of thing, and would probably pay to keep them alive just so that they could have an ending.
These are the main ones. Many more can be found in the book. If you need more examples, please let me know. Hope this helped!

Stay Alive
Haymitch's second instruction for Peeta and Katniss are to find water.
i think she feels like it was useless
pg 56 paragraph 3
haymitch tells them to act friendly, to act like a team.
Haymitch's final words of advice to Katniss and Peeta are "Remember who the real enemy is" and "Stay alive". These words serve as a reminder to focus on surviving the Games and not falling for the Capitol's traps.
Stay alive
Cinnas advice is practical, yet more risky that Haymitch and effies simple 'stay alive'
In the third book, Mockingjay, Haymitch is apparently in the rebellion against the Capitol, though Katniss has no idea about this. He saves her from the arena in Catching Fire, showing courage, and, in the first book, The Hunger Games, he gives good advice to Peeta and Katniss before the go into the arena, showing honor.
The very first advice is " Stay Alive". But the first honest advice is " You're not going to like what they do to you. But no matter what it is, don't resist" - Haymitch
To pretend to be so madly in love that she couldn't stand the thought of losing Peeta and that would be as to why she pulled out those poisonous berries
The first time Katniss asks him for advice and he says "Here's some advice. Stay Alive" The second time she asks him he tells her that Peeta wants to go in with her instead of himself because he wants to protect her.HOPE THAT HELPS!! :) :) :) :)
