pg 56 paragraph 3
Stay Alive
Haymitch's second instruction for Peeta and Katniss are to find water.
i think she feels like it was useless
In the third book, Mockingjay, Haymitch is apparently in the rebellion against the Capitol, though Katniss has no idea about this. He saves her from the arena in Catching Fire, showing courage, and, in the first book, The Hunger Games, he gives good advice to Peeta and Katniss before the go into the arena, showing honor.
Haymitch's final words of advice to Katniss and Peeta are "Remember who the real enemy is" and "Stay alive". These words serve as a reminder to focus on surviving the Games and not falling for the Capitol's traps.
Haymitch Abernathy is a fictional character, creatin by Susan Collions. He was the winner of the second Quater Quell (50th Hunger Games). He was also the mentor of Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen. Haymitch lived in district 12, and after he won, President Snow killed his mother, and "his girl" (meaning girlfriend) for using a force field to kill the last tribute. Ever since then Haymitch had been drinking. He is a drunk. Haymitch was from the seam, meaning he is tan(olive colored skin) and Grey eyes. He's said to have been 40 in the Hungry Games.
Stay alive
Cinnas advice is practical, yet more risky that Haymitch and effies simple 'stay alive'
The very first advice is " Stay Alive". But the first honest advice is " You're not going to like what they do to you. But no matter what it is, don't resist" - Haymitch
To pretend to be so madly in love that she couldn't stand the thought of losing Peeta and that would be as to why she pulled out those poisonous berries
because katniss is hostile twords haymitch and she despises anyone else in the Capitol besides her prep team, himself, and Effie
The first time Katniss asks him for advice and he says "Here's some advice. Stay Alive" The second time she asks him he tells her that Peeta wants to go in with her instead of himself because he wants to protect her.HOPE THAT HELPS!! :) :) :) :)
