I learned from a very early age, as early 2 years old. Before that, scold obvious things like banging toys against the wall or hitting people. But actual rules, about 2.

Why children should obey their parents? There are many reasons a child should be taught to obey their parents, and it needs to be started at a very early age. I think it is the responsibility of all parents to start teaching their children to obey them as early in the child's life as they can. Children need to learn respect, honesty and dishonesty, fairness, what's right and what's wrong, manner's, what a parent expects from them, rules for completing duties and tasks, obedience, etc., at an early age.
Honor and obey your father and your mother.
The age of reason has been determined by the Church to be around the age of seven, so by that point you should be consciously following the rules of the Church on your own without too much prompting from your parents. This does NOT mean that you don't have to follow the rules for the first seven years of your life, but that, up to that point, your parents are primarily the ones who are responsible, instead of you.The only things that I *know* have specific age ranges which are given by the Church are fasting and abstinence. You must obey the rules for abstinence from the time you turn sixteen until the time you die. You must obey the rules for fasting from the time you turn 21 until 60.The sacraments, however, are always in force.
Compliance.
