However a person 16 or 17 may consume, but not buy, alcohol if they are accompanied by an adult. This is at the landlords discretion.

At the age of 16, a child may drink wine, beer or cider with a meal at a restaurant.
At age 18, an adult may purchase and consume whatever alcohol they wish.

Children under 5 yrs old are not allowed Alcohol even on Private land unless subscribed by a Doctor or in an Emergency, If someone gave a child under 5 alcohol even on private land it could be classed as child abuse,child neglect it is fully Legal for people between 5-17 to drink any sort of alcohol on private land.
