18 but 14 to actually go in. At 14 you can go in with your parents and get a pintof beer or cider with a meal.
You have to be 21 to pour as a bartender or serve as a cocktail waitress. You can be 18 and serve if you are working in an area primarily intended to serve food as a waiter/watress and the alcohol is being served with a meal. You can serve alcohol once you are eighteen, but I don't know if anyone under 21 is allowed in a "pub". kamal wrote: i was 19 years old when i was working in a pub. but it depend upon the law actually. i believe can because locally it is not inspected to verify the age to work in a pub.
Not alcohol, no. It depends where you are. In Scotland: The law on what age a person can drink alcohol is complicated. Before the age of 18, you are not allowed to buy alcohol in pubs or shops, or drink alcohol in pubs. It is also unlawful for anyone else to buy alcohol for a person aged under 18 to consume in a pub. If you are aged 16 or 17 you are entitled to drink wine, cider or beer to accompany a meal in a hotel or restaurant. Any child over the age of five can drink alcohol at home or on other private premises. It is an offence to give alcohol to a child under 5, even in her/his own home. Source: http://tinyurl.com/8n7j43
