The Rabies vaccine should be given around 4 months of age. Ask your Veterinarian to see what the rules are in your state. Don't forget about the other vaccinations that are much needed for your dog and make sure you are up to date on them. Check with your Vet when you go in for your Rabies vaccination. Also ask your Vet about putting your dog on Heartworm preventative, if not on already. Heartworms are found all over the US. Mosquitoes are the carriers and every dog and cat should be put on a once a month pill to prevent Heartworm, year around and for the rest of their lives.

You should have your dog vaccinated against Rabies at 4 months, that would be the soonest. Don't forget about the other vaccinations needed. You should take your pup into be checked out by your Veterinarian. Bring in a small sample of his feces too so that the Vet can check for internal parasites too.

A puppy has to be 6 weeks old to get a parvo shot and is needed every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old. After the puppy series they should be given once a year when they turn a year old.

They should get their Rabies vaccine at around 4-5 months of age. I hope you have not forgotten about their other necessary vaccines such as distemper, parvo, etc.
