It will usually depend on: Where you are, What type of firearm(BB, Airsoft, real pistols or rifles, I know not everyone considers all of these to be firearms, but I do because they mechanically fire a potentially lethal projectiles), if you or your parents buy it, ,and if you live near a warehouse where Jimmy from down the street sells illegal firearms. So as you can tell there is a lot of variation on how old you must be.
It is not illegal. There is no permit required to own a firearm.
Most U.S. states do not have a required age for a BB gun. The reason is, a BB gun is not classified as a firearm, so they do not fall under firearm regulations. That said, there may be some states that have stipulations on BB guns, but most don't.
No you do not have to be a gun expert to own a gun. As long as you are of legal age to own a firearm and you do not have any felony offenses on your record, you can own a gun.
There is no licencing in Tennessee to own a firearm. You will, however, be required to show some form of ID when you purchase one.
That's totally dependent on where you live, check you local regulations regarding firearm ownership, or ask at a local gun store/club.In the US this is not generally required, though there are places where a firearm owner ID may be required to own a gun. Most of the united states you can legally purchase a longarm at 18 and a pistol at 21. You can be gifted a firearm at a younger age generally. Specifics vary from state to state and country to country.
I believe about 18.....just don't show it to anyone in a public place. However out of intrest there is no age restrictions on actual live firearms i had my first at the age of 12 with an official gun licence
Generally, you're required to have a Type 7 or Type 10 FFL to manufacture firearms. <><><> The type 7 FFL is required to make guns for sale. In most of the US, it is legal to make your own firearm, but it cannot be sold, and cannot be an otherwise regulated firearm (no machine guns, short barreled shotguns, etc)
Firearm laws vary state to state, but here in Colorado, you must be 18 to purchase a firearm. To own...there really is no legal age requirement. My dad gave me my frst .22 for my 10th birthday.
In Canada police approval is required to purchase any type of firearm. Such a conviction would prevent police approval.Added: In the US - any conviction for Domestic Violence is a bar to firearm ownership.
There is no age for a shotgun, however the age for any other firearm in 18 I believe. However all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
I'm assuming you mean "Can a sex offender own a firearm?" If so, the answer is no. Felons cannot own firearms.
Be of legal age and not be legally disqualified from purchasing a firearm.
