A child will talk when he/she is ready.. mostly they should be saying some words ROUND 8 MONTHS.
I think that when the child turns 21 is an appropriate age.
From what I read up o this subject you can talk to them at a very young age, maybe 7 or 8 years old. Or whatever age you think your child can understand.
Every parent is different. I would say at least 10. My parents haven't had the talk with me and im turning 10 in three months! Children these days are recieving sex education throughout grade 7 and 8. If you have not had the talk with your child at this point, their teachers will by the age of 13-15.
