Mezcal is the first distilled spirit of America. When the spanish conquer Mexico they started to distilled a beverage the native people used to drink , this drink was the fermentation of the juices from the agave . When firts distilled this spirit was called "Vino de Mezcal", wich translates to mezcal wine.
