Yes, with any other product (by GM or other manufacturers using that key fob) using that key fob type. You could even set up multiple vehicles to use the same key fob, provided they use the same type.
you must have a working fob first . take the second fob and place it in the holdr of your center console take the key and put it in the door unlock door 5 times you will see new fob recognized take fob out and press door lock twice all done
Consult your owners manual. Most vehicles power locks can be reprogrammed using the key fob.
Free On Board (FOB)
Walk out to the vehicle with the fob, press the lock and unlock buttons at the same time and HOLD them pressed for 7 seconds and you will hear the locks go thru a cycle. After 7 seconds the fob should be reprogrammed. Try it. If not stand closer. I stood beside the front driver's fender to do mine and it worked first time. that means all that is required to gain entry to all such vehicles is a similar remote. are you sure about this ?
There is no battery in the key fob just take it to the dealer with all the keys u have from the x and they reset them togther...
fob
I have a Toyota, and my key fob light stayed on also. I called the dealer, and they said the button on the fob was stuck down INSIDE the fob. So, I simply unscrewed the screw on the back of the fob, opened the fob, then put it back together. The fob was fixed. I didn't have to fix anything in the fob.
the key fob battery is the battey in a key fob torch
Fob stands for Fresh Of The Boat. FOB is a term for a new person in the country that stands out
It is a feature in some vehicles, and installable in most where the vehicle can be started from the FOB without a driver present in the vehicle. The only reason I can think of for having one is to warm up a vehicle in cold climates so it is all warmed up before you get into it.
You could call it making more work for the dealer. Anti theft reasons. Proprietary technology.
