The Fifteenth Amendment gave every citizen the right to vote without being denied for race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
The 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution was structured to guarantee women the right to vote. It stated that the right to vote shall not be denied or abridged on account of sex. This amendment was ratified in 1920.
