it depends on the type of guitar you got bass or electric, any amp will work for Electric Guitar but not all amps work with electric bass.

I have the same problem with my amp. When the amp gets warn out it overheats quicker than when it was new, so there is a safety built into the amp that will kill the speakers so you don't damage them. At this point you should have some repair on your amp, or buy a new one.

RCA wires go from amp back of radio a wire from amp ground need to be connected to a large metal part of your car. memory wire needs to hook to a power source that's only on when your cars on that way your amp does not kill your car battery when you park. and then connect all the speakers.
