AnswerLes Paul is a famous jazz guitarist. The Gibson Les Paul is a solid-body electric guitar, manufactured by the Gibson Guitar Corporation, named for and designed in collaboration with guitarist Les Paul. The exact extent of Paul's actual contributions is a matter of some controversy, but it appears that they do not go beyond the name and the color. An interesting point. Les Paul was working with Epiphone when the Les Paul guitar was brought it into life. He later began work with Gibson and eventually switched back with Epi.
No, it doesn't quite work like that. You can get a pickup for acoustics but not like a humbucker out of say, a Gibson Les Paul.

No. Fender Stratocaster controllers (a.k.a. "Rock Band Guitars") WILL NOT function on Guitar Hero games for their respective systems as of May 2008. However, Gibson Les Paul or X-plorer controllers (a.k.a. "Guitar Hero Guitars") WILL function with Rock Band games on the Xbox 360 system and, in fact, are the preferred interface of most players due to the controllers' familiar and more responsive layout. The Gibson Les Paul "Guitar Hero" controller for the PS3 system will not function with Rock Band on the PS3. The Gibson SG "Guitar Hero" controller and its many variants may or may not function with Rock Band on the PS2.
If it's the guitar FOR the wii, then yes
fender for sure, i would just get a strat but whatever model you prefer would would work. other than that, a Gibson les paul would be insanely awsome if you could afford it.
It should work for any Guitar Hero game for the PS3.
Apex- guitar
Howard Gordon's Guitar was a Gibson. I asked him about at a concert in Somerset Ky in 1966. He bought the guitar at a Gibson convention in 1956 The guitar was not available on the open market.. When he first became a part of the Chuckwagon Gang he used a plain Jane Gibson flat top. concert goers complained they couldn't hear him play so he turned to an electric guitar. In later years Rick Karnes, Rose's son sang tenor and played the guitar for the Gang. His work was the closest to Howard's style. The CWG has a website at www.thechuckwagongang.net. The site will direct you to a blog all about them.

It was invented by Les paul in 1939 and sold By Gibson.AnswerLes Paul's "The Log" was a semi-hollow guitar with a solid center block, so one can argue that it's not a "solidbody" guitar, just as the later ES-335 wouldn't be considered a solidbody. This prototype was never put into production, so no, it wasn't "sold". The first true solidbody guitars were the Fender Esquire and the Fender Broadcaster, later renamed the Telecaster; the solidbody Gibson Les Paul didn't come about until two years later -- as a response to the Broadcaster. If you count Hawaiian (lap steel) guitars, which are played horizontally on the lap, then it would be the Rickenbacker "Frying Pan", which predates "The Log" by several years.
