They followed the herds as they moved. One reason they had tepees that they could pack and move. The buffalo was a very special animal to the Native Americans.

The buffalo's tongue was used as toilet paper for the native americans.
The bison were a main source of food and other items. They used the entire animal. When the bison disappeared they lost a great deal and it forced them to move into reservations to survive, but that was the whole purpose of the vast numbers of bison killed. The Native American way of life was gone at that point.

The U.S. Settlers were mean to the Native Americans and forced them to move to reservation land where there was no buffalo to hunt and the hunters would have to move out of the reservations to hunt for the buffalo for food, clothing and tools. Long ago before the U.S. Settlers came to America, the Native Americans would follow the buffalo where ever they go to hunt for the things they will need to survive because the buffalo was their sacred animal
Buffalo's can't talk. Seriously, native Americans hunted buffalo and used every part of the animal. The skins were used to build tee-pees. The horns and bones were also used to make instruments. Even dried buffalo dung was used to keep babies' bottoms dry and as a substitute for firewood.
Depends on who you are what it means. To Native Americans plains tribes a white buffalo was a sacred animal. As it was tribes like the Dakota Sioux used the buffalo for food, clothing, worship, and anything else they could glean from the buffalo.
The Native Americans never used the heart of the Buffalo because they believed that everything had a spirit so instead they bury the heart of the Buffalo where the animal died or where it was killed and then the spirit would bring more Buffalos.
Deer, Turkey, Rabbit, and Buffalo
The water buffalo is not native to the Americas, so no language anywhere in the Americas would have a native name for that animal. Water buffalo are native to the Indian sub-continent and Asia.
