I have no idea what animal is mentioned only 5 times in the New Testament. Some animals are never mentioned in The Bible. It seems you have done some research. Why don't you tell us what the animal was?

It is not only that. A significant part of the New Testament is about Jesus, but the Old Testament doesn't mention him at all (except for an occasional prophecy, which may refer to Him), because they talk about events that happened before His time.
