Well for one people don't live in the north pole. Polar bears and other snow animals with a lot of fur live there.
It depends on what animal you are speaking of. There are many types of animals that live in mountains ranging from birds such as eagles, condors, hawks to mamals such as mountain goats.
There really are no animal living at the North Pole. Occasional birds, but few animals will go that far north. Yes there are few types of animals living in the Arctic Zone (North Pole). Animals like Arctic Fox & Ermine have a cryptic coloration. They blend according to the background.

Polar Bears are very good predators in the North Pole, feeding mostly on seals. It must be said, however, that polar bears do not actually live at the North Pole. The North Pole sits on a massive floating sheet of ice, and no animals actually live there. Even Polar bear tracks have been recorded rarely. See the related question.
