The king penguins have a few natural predators. The skua take small chicks and eggs. The snowy sheathbill scavenges for dead chicks and unattended eggs. The leopard seal takes adult birds at sea. Also, Orcas and Antarctic fur seals may hunt king penguins.

leopard seals, killer whales and sharks. Polar bears live in the northern hemisphere and therefore cannot kill penguins who only live in the Southern Hemisphere.
