Quinolones are the antibiotic that shouldn't be used in children because of this possible side effect. Young dogs had tendon weakness after receiving a quinolone antibiotic.

Quinolones are : (most common) :

ciprofloxacin (Cipro)

levofloxacin (Levaquin)

moxifloxacin (Avelox)

But this side effect is not a real issue in adults.
