These do not (by any means) affect every family, however some issues that families could come across are:
- Divorce. Without a doubt the worst sort of situation a family can put itself in. It puts itself at risk of not calling itself a family anymore, and leads to the below circumstances.
- Loss of a close relative/friend. A traumatic experience may have uncertain effects on all family members.
- No income. Is the family capable of supporting itself, giving the core needs of food, water and shelter as well as a car, education, clothes and a bed to sleep in?
- Lack of family time causing no "bonding" to take place. Is the sister in her room fussing about her hair? Is the brother in the games room, playing on the PS or X-Box 5 hours per day? Is the mother expected nothing of? Just meals and transportation (not my personal view on a woman by any means.). Is the father supposed to come home from work late at night, see his family over a 20 minute dinner, go to bed, and wake up too early to say good morning? 20 minutes as a family is hardly any use.
- Adult role models of the family setting bad examples for the younger members. The oldest members should be leading the way and building the path for the younger members. Laying the foundations well so that they can start families of their own.
- Conflict between family members. Do the family members understand each other well? Do they enjoy spending time with each other?
- Community issues. Are they looked down upon in the town/village? Do they have friends in neighbours?
- Location of home. Does the family live in an area where it is considered bad/invaluable to live.=? Public Transport or Ease of access may come under this.
- No Experience. Is it a young family? Have the parents launched straight into having kids without considering the emotional, mental, physical or cognitive aspect of things.
- Lack of Spirituality. By no means does this mean that a family that doesn't go to church every Sunday is unspiritual (most families don't), but do all members have a sense of purpose and well being in life? Does everyone have a desire to make the most of their lives, and help everyone do the same thing?
Hope this works for you, whoever you are.
