∙ 14y ago-Because if it gets dirty or recked you have to buy more but with normal clothes you have a lot. Some polos which are the mostly worn school uniform shirts range from 30-98 dollars
-doesn't reduce violence anyways
-takes away teen or child personality
-kids need to be who they want to be
-no proven change in attitude with school uniforms.
-bullying will not improve if so actually happen more because when all dressed the same more differences stand out

∙ 15y ago1 reason is that they are ugly and stupid to wear, they make you look funny, they give you your own shine, they are a pain because you have to buy your own, and they look like they can from your grandmas closet.

Uniforms hide the student's personality.
Students should be taught everyone is unique.
Uniforms also hide deep personal problems that should be dealt with while someone is young. If someone dressing as an individual causes someone to disrupt a class, then they need to be disciplined so they can learn to mind their own business and accept others as they are. Giving into their bigotries only strengthens them and allows them to grow violent towards those who appear different from the norms they accept.

abbey college in Manchester is one of them. It's private and only starts from year 10 onwards though. the fee is aparently quite high. not all schools are strict on the uniform policy though. the only enforced rules at collingwood, surrey are that you wear somthing of the school uniform, and the pe kit is too. but other than that you can wear practically anything, as long as its not too out of the boundrys, like a bright pink clown outfit. i don't see why anyone would wear that anyway. one of my freiend actually wore a pirate outfit to school on talk like a pirate day last year, and , because it was "justified" she got away with it.
