Some signs / symptoms (more than 10) of anorexia are...
* Dry / flaky skin
* Hair loss, discoloration, thinning, and / or loss of "shine"
* Growth of thin, "peach fuzz" hair called Lanugo
* Fainting / Dizziness
* Sensitivity to the cold (more than a normal person should be)
* Refusal to eat
* Constant / Intense exercising
* Having odd food rituals
* Eating only small portions of low-cal, "safe" foods / eating only in the presence of others.
* Low heart rate / blood pressure
* Depression
* Dressing in layres to hide weight loss
* Isolating themselves / having or being more secretive around others
* Becoming defensive over food and weight
Note - These are some general signs. A person who has anorexia may show some or all of these symptoms. A few can come and go, while some may never show up at all. Also, just because a person has one or more of these signs, it does not mean that they specifically have anorexia.
