The video card should have came with a CD which contains drivers for the card. Drivers are small progams wich enable the hardware to communicate to the operating system. Pop the CD in to install the program and drivers. Then configure the display settings afterward. If you do not have a CD that came with the video card, you'll have to goto the manufactures website to first download the drivers/program and then install afterwards.
