Industrial Wastes
Industries often dump their byproduct (unwanted products that come during their process of production) into nearby rivers and lakes. These contaminants are usually very toxic chemicals.
Improper Drainage
After the removal of solid wastes and certain level of purification, the contaminated water is often dumped into broad rivers. But in course of time these dumping of contaminated water acts as major pollutants, usually at disposal sites.
Over use of Chemical Fertilizers
Chemical fertilizers sprayed over plants are often washed off during irrigation or by rain into rivers and lakes, contaminating them.
Thermal Pollution
Most industries want their working systems to be cooled downed in regular intervals, especially Power Plants. The naturally available water bodies tend to acts as better and free coolants. Water absorbs the heat from the systems and moves into water bodies causing change in temperature and hence threat to the living organisms there.
Ocean water, fresh water, ground water, and rain water
Surface water is water that can be found on the surface of earth. Four sources of surface water includes, lakes, oceans, rivers, and streams.
Well rain
*****
Streams, rivers, reservoirs, springs, and wells are five sources of water. Which, as Vinoth says, all begin with rain.
The main sources of water pollution are as follows : 1) sewage 2) Industrial wastes 3) synthetic soaps and detergents 4) fertilizers and pesticides .
Lakes, rivers, pools, streams.
Rain. Or the combination of hydrogen and oxygen molecules. Could you be a little more vague?

It is basic and simple! The five (major) sources of water pollution are fertilizers and pesticides used in agriculture, livestock farms, industrial waster, oil runoff from roads including septic tanks, and unlined landfills. ;) :*

The five sources of energy are solar, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric and fossil fuels. Nowadays there are five energy sources: fossil fuels, nuclear, wind, hydroelectric amd solar. The alternative sources are solar, wind and hydroelectric.
