This shameful piece of legislation is just one of many nails that have been driven into the coffin of our constitutional republic. The advantages sold to the American public in regards to this bill is the notion of safety against a common enemy. Common enemies are a necessary proponent of a petty tyrants bag of political tricks. Common enemies unite the people with a common fear and fear is what chaos merchants deliver best. The patriot Act is an ambitious tyrannical response to the peoples fear and at some point the people will come to understand that their common enemy is their own criminal government who have ignored the oath they took to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.
