outline three ways in which the ameridians obtain their foods
The first Caribbean island settled by Amerindians was likely Hispaniola, which is now divided between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The indigenous Taíno people were the first to inhabit the island around 2600 BC.
They didn't bring much because they were primitive people. May have carried a fire stick or ember.
In the 1800s, Chinese migrated to the Caribbean-bordered areas, including the Caribbean islands.
the arwaki ameridians discovered haiti and the french gave the native Americans measles, chicken pox and much more harmful diseases
Depending upon what part of the country they are from. Some Native people ate primarily grains, corn, and others lived nomadic life styles in which they followed herds of buffalo for their primary source of food. Roots, and other wild (deer, elk) animals were also common sources of meal.
If you mean white rate, it depends on the country.Mexico, for example, has a population of 10-15% that can be defined as white. This is seen mostly in northern states. Other countries such as Argentina and Uruguay are predominantly 'white' (80%+) while others such as Guatemala and El Salvador as made up mostly from Ameridians.
The people already living in the Americas suffered many epidemics following contact with Europeans, and the death toll was massive. Large cities were nearly wiped out. Some communities on the Caribbean islands lost most of their people for example Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago. Between 1492 and 1650, the population of indigenous Americans decreased rapidly like the Ameridians.
Since one of the categories chosen for this question is Time Zones, I will answer the question in that respect and leave further explanation to someone more knowledgeable in the culture and politics of the Island of Hispaniola. Normally, Haiti is on Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5) and the Dominican Republic is on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4), one hour ahead. However, Haiti has chosen to use Daylight Saving Time in 2012 in an effort to reduce energy costs. Since Eastern Daylight Saving Time is the same as Atlantic Standard Time, the whole island is on the same time until November 4, 2012. Haiti is not expected to continue using Daylight Saving Time after 2012, but time will tell for sure.
