If your talking about the big scaly ones that breath fire and look like lizards with gargoyle wings, those are western dragons. Eastern dragons are the ones that look like snakes with the weird heads, that can't breath fire and have no wings, but can still fly. Weird....

Is mushu an eastern dragon?

Yes. If you're talking about the red dragon from the Disney movie Mulan, then yes he is. Eastern dragons are your dragons with no wings. Most eastern dragons are depicted as your typical Chinese dragons. They are characterized to be more gentle, and friendly, whereas the western dragons are the opposite. These westerns are usually vengeful. The Western dragons are the ones that have the wings, and they look like a huge lizard. You know the ones you see in most fairy tales with castles, kings, queens, and stuff like that?

How is the western dragon and the eastern dragon the same?

The Western and Eastern dragons have very little in common. However, both are large, mythical creatures of great power and intelligence. Both are said to fly (though Eastern dragons have no actual wings) and both value treasure. Both lay eggs and live for a long time. And both have a great significance and influence in the cultures of their respective regions - the Western dragon is feared and hated, while the Eastern dragon is revered.

Do all dragons have wing?

Actually, no. It's what a lot of people think, but there are some species of dragons that don't have wings. For example, Chinese dragons don't have wings. Knuckers (a kind of dragon that's literally a serpent that supposedly lives in wells) that don't. A lot of people assume that dragons are just big lizards with wings, but there are a lot of differences. Hydra do not have wings. Hexapods do not have wings. Sea serpents do not have wings.
