'Farfield Monitors' are Studio Reference Monitors directed toward the room, rather than to mix position.
These monitors are generally used for the 'fun' listening, where high dB ratings are required, and fine accoustics are generally not. (Though, given proper accoustic design and treatment, they can be useful even in the mix environment)
That being said, Farfields can be somewhat useful as an A / B scenario, or to simulate other environments. When monitoring with farfields, the dynamics of what you hear are different, and there is a larger spacial element present. They also usually introduce more low and mid frequency.
Generally these will show you a different dimension of the mix, as it would be in a larger environment, and will give the mix engineer a better stereo image than he may receive with nearfields.
Because farfields are not 'directed' or 'pointed' to a certain position, they are also useful for playback necessary for other areas of the room, where nearfields won't suffice.
And finally..... they just look good..... and they're loud

LCD monitors use far less energy then plasma monitors.
LCD monitors are rumoured to be a far better monitor due to the color being much sharper, and the pixles having less of a straint on your eyes.
There are: CRT monitors (those fat monitors) and LCD monitors (flat screens)
No but there is in LCD monitors.

"Precision agriculture" is the term generally used for an emerging field which uses computers and other electronic equipment to help farmers make better management decisions, control crop inputs more accurately, improve qualitative and quantitative analysis of crop characteristics and qualities, and generally be able to "squeeze" out the last bit of profit from their activities. These include the use of RTK GPS, planter monitors, combine monitors, sprayer monitors and various permutations of all of these.

There are many advantages to having multiple monitors on a single system. With multiple monitors you can have one application open on one monitor, while you have information that needs to be input on another monitor. Having multiple monitors, can greatly increase work efficiency as there is less need to alt-tab between applications.
