A church meetinghouse of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" Church) is similar to church buildings of other religions. The Church will contain a chapel or sanctuary with pews or chairs for the congregation, a pulpit or podium for the speaker, and chairs for the choir beyond that. There will also be an organ or piano for singing hymns. The sanctuary area is usually very plain with no artwork on the walls.

Larger church meetinghouses will also have a fellowship hall that is used for congregation and community activities, sporting events, and as an overflow space for worship services.

The rest of the church will be divided into classrooms and offices. As Mormons split into age and gender oriented groups for Sunday School and worship groups, there are many classrooms! There is a room called the "Primary Room", where a children's worship service called Primary is held. There is a "Relief Society Room" where the womans group, the Relief Society, meets. There will also be rooms for Youth Groups, Men's groups, and various Sunday School classes. Offices are for the Bishop and other congregation leaders. There will also be a library which contains various teaching materials for teachers to use. Some church buildings also contain a "Family History Center" where members of the community can come during the week and find assistance in finding their genealogy.

Hallways usually have sitting areas with chairs and couches, bullitan boards to announce congregation resources and activities, and religious paintings.

Mormon Church meetinghouses are open to the public, if you would like a tour you can contact a church member, leader, or missionary in your area. Or, you are welcome to visit a worship service and view the church then.

Is the biggest church in Utah?

The largest in terms of membership is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon") church - over half of the people in Utah are Mormon. The largest church building or largest congregation is difficult to determine since most churches dont release that information, but there are several large Catholic and Christian churches. The Mormon church has several large buildings (including the 1.4 million square foot conference center which seats over 21,000) but as they are not used for weekly congregational worship I would not call them 'churches'.
