There is no evidence that there are aliens in outer space. This does not mean that extra terrestrial life does not exist. We do not know yet.

My version:

Earth, a significant planet of an insignificant star in the Milky Way; who or what would know if the star died. Most species including us on earth are destined to become extinct in another 1000 - 2000 years as conditions on this planet change. Any onlooker (alien) who stumbles on this planet will see it as an inhospitable barren planet. Who could imagine that this was once a lush, green, filled with life, the most beautiful species, and us! Also, great matches, music events, famous disasters, great musicians, great industries and great people were part of this once beautiful world. This is what we see around from our telescopes; many such worlds gone. In the vastness of this space there definitely are aliens. Many of them could even be in our own galaxy. The distances are too far for you and me to imagine.

In a nutshell: a rocket is a missile to launch something, usually by means of a chemical reaction whereas a spacecraft is a vehicle designed for travelling through space.

A rocket or rocket vehicle is a missile, aircraft or other vehicle which obtains thrust by the reaction of the rocket to the ejection of fast moving fluid from a rocket engine. Chemical rockets work by the action of hot gas produced by the combustion of the propellant against the inside of combustion chambers and expansion nozzles. This generates forces that accelerate the gas to extremely high speed and exerts a large thrust on the rocket (since every action has an equal and opposite reaction).

A spacecraft is a vehicle or device designed for spaceflight. On a sub-orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters outer space but then returns to the planetary surface (such as Earth) without making a complete orbit. For an orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters a closed orbit around the planetary body. Spacecraft used for human spaceflights carry people on board as crew or passengers. Spacecraft used for robotic space missions operate either autonomously or telerobotically. Robotic spacecraft that leave the vicinity of the planetary body are space probes. Robotic spacecraft that remain in orbit around the planetary body are artificial satellites. Starships, which are built for interstellar travel, are so far a theoretical concept only.

Most likely, yes, people are probably in space right now. They're are space stations orbiting around the clock, and the reasons they are "stations" is because there are astronauts stationed there.

A rocket is a device that uses action and reaction forces to propel it in one direction. They are usually multistage rockets, which drop off parts of the rocket until the part with the astronaut inside proceeds into space. A space probe is a spacecraft that carries scientific instruments that can collect data, but has no manned crew. It can travel to distant parts of our solar system that humans cannot reach.

I don't think there's a formal differentiation, but if it were up to me, I'd say ROCKETS are not specifically designed to leave Earth's orbit and venture out into the solar system and beyond, where SPACESHIPS are. For example, many modern jet fighters carry air-to-air rockets as a type of armament. The term "rocket" has to do with the type of propulsion used. A rocket uses a chemical reaction to produce thrust, as opposed to a jet or combustion engine that burns fuel.

Yes. Spaceships have been used for many years to launch artificial earth satellites,

manned missions to low earth orbit and to the moon, unmanned probes to other bodies

in the solar system and on trajectories that would ultimately take them out of the solar

system. Many have been successful. Many others have gone astray after launch. Still others

have exploded on the launch pad.

When it moves under its own power, it is a "spacecraft". If it is freely falling in a gravitational field, it is a satellite.

So the Space Shuttles are "spacecraft"; they have engines and can modify their orbits. The International Space Station is a satellite; while it has thrusters that would enable it to Dodge space junk and debris, the ISS can't change its orbit by very much.

A rocket is the part of a spaceship that is called the propulsion. It is what makes the craft move.

What is the difference in propultion between an airplane a spacecraft?

A spacecraft need a rocket engine (which is powered by on-board oxygen and fuel) to propel itself, an airplane only needs a jet engine (which only needs on-board fuel as it uses oxygen form the air).

What is a space shuttle and how does it differ from other spacecraft?

The major difference between a spacecraft and a space shuttle is that the other spacecrafts can not be reused once the do return to the earth with the astronauts. But the shuttle is launched lime a rocket, flys like a plane and lands like a plane on a runway, it is always reusable.
