In batch operating system,jobs perform in serial form,means jobs perform by one by one.so batch operating system has no advantage.

A batch system allows users to predefine a 'job' and usually to set a schedule as to when it should run. Many (perhaps hundreds) jobs can be scheduled and then left for the system to run later. Dependencies can usually be defined "If job 5 goes wrong then run job 8 otherwise run job 6" etc. The whole batch stream can then be left running overnight or over a weekend etc.
Multiple such streams can usually be run in parallel.
The necessary software etc is expensive. so there is a trade-off between system/software costs and human costs.
The advantages of batch based systems:
1. Significant savings where the run times of the units of work (jobs) are longish and a company does not want to pay lots of staff to sit at a terminal for hours watching nothing much happen.
2. Reproducibility / elimination of human error - once a batch stream is defined it can usually be rerun at a later date knowing that the settings are correct and it will work.
3. Transference of computer workload from prime (expensive) daytime to cheaper overnight off-peak times.
